A lovely, and we believe quite early sterling silver cross pendant inset with a cabochon amethyst attributed to Bernice Goodspeed who was a practicing silversmith in Taxco in her earlier career years. She would later go on to continue with her own jewellery business.

We know that the pendant was most likely made by Bernice Goodspeed due to the 28 stamped within an eagle stamp verso which is surmised to have been used by her in particular.

While I have found the design of this particular cross on other examples, I have not found one marked with the registration stamp that attributes this piece to Goodspeed.

This helps us to date this piece to 1971 or earlier which makes it an early example of it's design type. Possibly the earliest given its well known maker.

Weight: 10.6 grams
