About Us

At Antiquus, we have been studying, collecting and selling antiques for several generations. We have been doing this for centuries, it's a family business.

Antiquus, as the name implies, is about looking back in history to learn something of the past. Every piece tells a story and serves to tell the present and future generations a little bit about who came before them.

In many cases, those stories and the pieces that tell them are fractured and split from their origins. This seems to be the underlying story of antiques, fine art and artefacts through the ages. Largely due to their current and appreciating value through the ages.

Our attempt, at its core is to match the piece to it's place of origin and the period in which it was manufactured. Our team members are all from mixed backgrounds and cultures and our goal is to delve deeper and deeper into history so that we can reveal more about our combined human history.

This, of course, requires funding and so you can find some of the pieces for sale here. Others are included on this site from private collections and are for educational purposes only.
