A Late Victorian Pair of Piqué Inlaid Drop Earrings. These are very old pieces of jewellery that would date back to around the 1870s to 1890s. They are also made out of a material which originates from what is now a protected material and species, hawksbill turtle shell.

The shell from this turtle was extremely malleable and is quite light which made it a popular material for manufacturing this type of jewellery.
