A lovely faceted ruby glass scent bottle (super petite) made by well-known maker, Charles May. Charles May was a renowned maker of both thimbles and scent bottles; quite specialised. He registered at the assay office in 1876 and this bottle was made circa. 1889 (‘p’).

These were originally used to re-apply parfum when in public. It is still fit for purpose with no chips or cracks and original stopper intact. Light dings to the hallmarked silver stopper and some light surface wear commensurate with age.

Height: 6.5 cm
