A rather scarce Marcus Aurelius AR denarius that dates between 162 - 163 AD. Not the earliest Concordia from his reign but quite close.
From the estate of a private collector. Many of the coins from this collection are sealed and as such we have not been able to weigh them. Do note, however, that they are guaranteed original.
Nice centre strike on both the obverse and reverse. Lettering and bust / Concordia are clear with only slight wear. We have graded the coin as VF. Would be aEF if not for the wear to the facial features which is a bit more pronounced.
Obv: IMP M ANTONINVS AVG, laureate head right.
Rev: CONCORD AVG TR P XVII COS III, Concordia seated left, holding patera and resting elbow on statue of Spes set on cornucopiae.
RIC 60
162 - 163 AD.
